This policy explains how content on The Ontario Seniors Hub is produced — our directory listings, original guides, and our Vitamins & Nutrients reference — and, importantly, the current limitations of each.

Directory listings

Our Retirement Communities, Active Living Centres, and Restaurants directories are compiled from Ontario government open-data sources and independently gathered public information. We make reasonable efforts to keep listings current, but details such as license status, pricing, hours, and contact information can change without notice. How our Vitamins & Nutrients reference was built

Our Vitamins & Nutrients reference describes what each vitamin or nutrient does and where it is found in food. It does not include dosing recommendations. This content should be treated as a general educational starting point rather than individualized nutrition or medical advice — see our Medical Disclaimer.

Independence

The Ontario Seniors Hub is not owned by, sponsored by, or affiliated with any pharmaceutical manufacturer, pharmacy chain, retirement home operator, or healthcare provider. We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable treatment of any brand or listing in our directories.

Ongoing improvement

We intend to improve the accuracy and sourcing of our references over time, and we prioritize corrections reported through our Corrections Policy. If you have expertise in nutrition or seniors' care and notice an error, we especially welcome that feedback.

Guide articles

The original guides on this Site (see our Guides section) are written and bylined by our editorial team. They cover general topics such as vitamin basics, retirement housing, home and auto maintenance, exercise, travel, and caregiving, and are not a substitute for individualized professional advice.

Advertising and editorial content

This Site may display advertising served by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense. Advertisements are clearly distinguished from our editorial content, and their presence does not influence which listings or reference entries appear on this Site or how they are described.
